Taxus baccata
Taxus baccata, also known as the Venom tree, is a common evergreen conifer and very suitable as a hedge plant. It can be used as a fence, preferably in larger gardens.
Yew as espalier
On the one hand it screens completely, the tangle of branches with fine needles create a completely closed effect. On the other hand, this ensures that screens higher than 2a 2.50cm have a great influence on the atmosphere in the garden. Yew does not let through any light compared to other evergreen species. This sometimes results in a somewhat sombre atmosphere that can be detrimental in smaller gardens.
Its dark green colour can serve as a backdrop for other trees.
Taxus baccata is available in the following sizes:
Stem 150cm + screen 200cm
Trunk 180cm + screen 150cm
Higher sizes on request
The trees are already of an older age and are largely self-supporting so a construction is not always necessary.
